Installing Drupal 7

So I went drinking with the ADUG folks and decided it was time to create a newer Drupal 7 site in preparation for the classes coming out next month.

I used the basic settings I had from my PHP & MySQL in Easy Steps book from 2012. Installed Abyss Web Server, which gives me only one site, but that is all I need at this time.

  • C:/webstack/htdocs/
  • C:/webstack/htdocs/drupal7
  • C:/webstack/htdocs/site1
  • C:/webstack/htdocs/site2

Installed PHP and mySQL as standalone products and used them just fine.

Five Seasons Brewing Co. Westside

ADUG InTown Social at Five Seasons Brewing Co. Westside. Russ Winters has been called away for a family emergency, so we will be rescheduling his talk on “Advanced Module Integration in Drupal” for June.

In lieu of a presentation, our sponsors Zach Sines of TRC Professional Solutions and Saundra Ramsey of LEHAN will sponsor our first ADUG InTown social at 5 Seasons Westside.

Join your fellow designers, developers, tweeters, and social media friends for an evening of fun and conversation. This will be an ideal opportunity to come out and meet with other Drupalers like yourselves, and give our ADUG organizers feedback on upcoming programs and plans for the next DrupalCampAtlanta.

Please let us know by Wednesday evening if you think you can make it, so we can give a head-count to the restaurant. We’ll have complimentary tickets (value $5) for your favorite 5 Seasons beverage for the first 25 Drupalers who RSVP on Meetup.com. A copy of your Meetup ticket at check-in will help us to quickly identify you as one of our Drupal Group when you arrive.
