WordCamp Follow Up

35 Days of 100A month later. Follow-up.

In the last 35 days of my 100 Days of Code I’m at 108 commits. Up 10 from a year ago this month. Still working on my MEAN-stack, the Meetup group is going good. Still working on my focus issues, as in not being scattered (yikes I missed 3 days). I have done Photoshop and Illustrator, and AWS stuff, and worked on Front-end stuff with Boostrap, and Angular Material, and watched Star Wars Rouge One! So it was a good month.

Nonprofits spend all of their time doing good, not looking good. Imagine how much good they could do if they looked good as well. What if we could build 48 websites for nonprofit organizations in a 48 hour weekend?

What’s the PUF?

The PUF…. what the puf? People United Foundation

YEAP that’s what I was thinking when I saw their old site. And tried to read the sheet the guy from the non-profit was trying to tell us about them. Turns out it is actually a really cool thing they are trying to do. And I was proud to help the People United Foundation.

Build a Site in One Day

I need a website. I need a portfolio website for myself. I want to build a site in one day. I have pondered what I want to say about myself. How to market my skills and showcase some of my past projects. I have been building stuff for the web since back in the GeoCities days of the mid-to late 90’s. And yet, I don’t have anything I think I want to show off, or the things I am proudest of are long gone, changed, or covered by NDAs. So I sit here for the past year thinking, “Is today the day I build my own website?”

Build a Site in One Day ~ Part II

Part Two will be the actual building a site in one day, after I get it built.

I want to build a couple of different sample headers to see what I like. Luckily I can use CodePen for that, as well as for designing some footers.
